Jungsan Sohn, Ph.D.

Associate Professor of Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry

Jungsan “J.” is originally from S. Korea and moved to the US when he was 15. J. received his B.S. in chemistry with high honors from the University of Michigan -Ann Arbor.  He then obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Duke University. After the postdoc training at MIT where he was a NIH postdoc fellow, J. joined the faculty at  the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 2011.

J.’s other passion is to promote science education to the underprivileged population. He’s been serving as the director of Biophysics Research for Baltimore Teens (BRBT) since 2013. (http://sites.krieger.jhu.edu/brbt/)
